Costume Updates: Final prices are in. This price includes 2 gross of stones per costume applied by the ladies in California. They do awesome stonework.

Thanksgiving Schedule

We will have class as normally scheduled all this week and on Saturday, November 17 as on the Saturday schedule on our website. We will have class on Monday, November 19 and on Tuesday November 20.




We will be closed on Wednesday, November 21 and reopening on Monday, November 26.

Watch out for the Parade on Saturday!

Nolensville Veteran's Day Parade on Saturday. Find a back route from Brentwood if you usually come in from Sunset or if you are coming from Nolensville leave your house before Nolensville Road is blocked . Here are the parade details:


The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Oldham Road. It will travel down Dortch Lane to Stonebrook Boulevard, continuing onto Nolensville Road. The parade will end at the Nolensville ballpark.

B52's Don't forget about your new hip hop class tonight from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm taught by Mr. Zach Walker.  No extra cost!  Please attend! 

If you are planning on attending West Coast in South Carolina and haven't made your room reservation, please do so asap because they are already sold out of double bed and you can now only make reservations for King bed rooms. Thanks!

B52 Schedule

We want to be sure everyone is clear on what their schedule looks like.  Below is the B52 schedule:

Monday 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Ballet (must be in proper attire with hair in bun)
Monday 800 pm - 9:00 pm - Pointe (must be in proper ballet attire with hair in bun) - optional

Wednesday 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Hip Hop with Zach Walker (no dress code, you can wear your tennis shoes or whatever you would like)
Wednesday 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm Leaps and Turns - Mandatory - No dress code, but please put your hair up
Wednesday 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm choreography - Mandatory  no dress code, but please put your hair up
Wednesday 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm Ballet (must be in proper attire with hair in bun)

Saturday 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm Phantoms / B52 Workshop (must be in proper ballet attire with hair in bun)
Saturday 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Line Rehearsal - no dress code but put hair up

You must attend at least 1 ballet if you are in large group.  You must attend at least 2 ballets if you are in a small group or have a solo.  You should want to attend them all to prepare for collegiate dance teams. 

We are trying to develop a program for every dancer who wants to be a successful dancer in college.  We hope you make the choice to be committed to these classes and have a successful future. 

All these classes are included in your base large group price. 

Ballet Attire Requirements

We are constantly reminding everyone about the ballet dress code.  Pink tights, pink ballet shoes, any colored leotard and hair in bun.  We will no longer allow any dancer to enter the ballet classes without proper attire and hair in bun.  Dance is  a discipline and just like school and every other job you will have in life, there will be requirements.  Please follow this simple rule.  If you cannot afford a leotard, tights and shoes, please check at the front desk to help you finance these requirements.  We have ordered extra tights to keep on hand at all times.   You all should have some type of dance bag - keep leo, tights and all your shoes in your bag so that you have them with you at all times.  We have a locker room to hang your bags and keep your things up out of the floor.  Discipline yourselves to always be prepared.  Keep all your hair accessories in your bag as well.  We are a dance school trying to better our students and prepare them for college and the real world of always being prepared and thinking for themselves.  Please do not attend Miss Alex's classes if you do not plan on following her rules.  This goes for the ThunderBoltz on Saturday classes as well.

Hip Hop this Wednesday 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

B52 reminder new Hip Hop class on Wednesdays 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.  Hope you can all attend.  Legacy will be paying for the teacher by donating all proceeds from Wednesday dinners so please attend this class.  We will be inviting Zach to teach the younger classes as well but it will not be a regularly scheduled class.  We will keep you posted.  He will definitely be teaching on Thursdays during Alex's absences during December.  Thanks! 

University of Tennessee Dance Team

If you are interested at all, I urge you to go to this workshop if only to prepare yourself for audition type environments:

Are you interesting in trying out for the UT Dance Team!? There will be a fall workshop at Revolution Dance Studio in Knoxville for all juniors and seniors in High School and/or any on-campus student or transfer student that are interested in trying out for a UT Dance Team for 2013-14! It will be on November 25 from 1-5 p.m. You will learn Hip Hop, Jazz, Pom combos - as well as technical progressions. This is a workshop atmosphere - and not an evaluation. This is an opportunity for dancers interested in program - to self-evaluate themselves based on the material presented. These are NOT the combos that will be at tryouts - but rather give an example of style and expectations for the future team!
